A Tent can help set a mood and elegance that cannot be matched in any other way. This is not the end though. Tent decorations, lighting (chandeliers, perimeter lights, freestanding lights, colored lighting), tent liners, leg drapes, dance floors, tables, chairs, chair covers, linens, bar, cathedral windows, plants, trees, etc all combine to set the mood and ambiance of creating your room.
Remember, no two functions are alike. Each event deserves to be looked at individually so that the proper size and layout can be determined based on your personal needs and preferences.
Planning and paying close attention to details will make your wedding, garden party, themed event, or backyard event (such as a graduation party, birthday or anniversary party, holiday get-together, etc) one that your guests will talk about for a long time. Be sure to check with your caterer, band or DJ for any special needs.
Benefits of Your Tent Event
You select the size of the tent based on the number of guests and your location.
A tent provides protection from the sun and rain, while creating a comfortable, spacious environment for your event.
Tents can be used for all kinds of events from backyard parties to social events and company and community events.
Helpful Suggestions from Your Tent Installer
You should allow 10 feet around the perimeter of the tent for setup. Your installer can work with a smaller area, and can do site inspections.
Larger tent installations usually require drive up access with the truck due to the weight of the tents...so please let us know so we may plan ahead.
Try to have a basic plan as to the most logical place to install your tent. Think of flow of traffic of guests and catering needs. Your installer will help you with any concerns and can offer suggestions.
Where are those power lines? Underground and overhead utilities are very important to locate when erecting a tent. If this is a concern, check with your utility company.
When are tents usually installed and removed for an event?
If your event is on a Saturday, your installer may wish to install the tent on Wednesday or Thursday, depending upon the time your event begins and the installer's workload.
Pickup is often scheduled for Monday. Every event is different and arrangements can usually be made to accommodate everyone.
Please keep in mind that weather is a major, uncontrollable factor when scheduling tent installation and pickups.
Frame Tents - a professionally installed party tent consisting of a vinyl top stretched over a metal frame, containing no center poles.
Pole Tents - a heavy-duty party tent made of canvas or vinyl supported by poles around the perimeter and in the center. Pole tents must be installed by professionals and will shelter against most bad weather.
Pop-Up Canopy - a small, lightweight collapsible frame fabric canopy. Provides shelter and protection from light rain, usually as a dot-it-yourself rental that can be erected and removed quickly.
Party Canopy - a lightweight overhead shelter for sun or light rain, usually a rental that customers can erect and take down themselves. Includes one or more center poles.
Some of the factors that determine what size tent you will need include:
Whether you are using round or banquet tables.
If you are using a head table, and if so, the size of the head table
Whether your event is a cocktail party, sit-down dinner, buffet or station event
If you need a dance floor, space for a band, DJ table, bar, etc
